Hello everyone. Many of you requested that the recipient for a dessert enjoyed at court of honor be shared for use. Here it is!
Apple Raspberry Crisp
Prep Time: 20 mins | Cook Time: 30 mins
Ingredients:
8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced on mandolin 3 cups raspberries 3/4 cup white sugar 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1/2 cup water 1 cup oats 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup butter, softened
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large saucepan, slightly precook apples by sautéing with 1/4 cup of the white sugar and a splash of water till crisp-tender. Place the sliced apples in a 8×10-ish inch pan, top with raspberries. Mix the remaining 1/2 cup white sugar and 1 tablespoon flour and sprinkle over apples. Pour 1/2 cup water evenly over all.
Combine the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Notes:
This recipe can be made without use of the stove: simply place raw apples into baking pan and layer with remaining ingredients, then bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
